Homecoming game and dance

On Friday night, the high school had the homecoming football game. Before that, though, the Seniors and Juniors had a Powderpuff game that they had been practicing for.

As Pep band, we got to perform our very first halftime show!!! It was so strange being on this end of the field!!!

On Saturday evening, we had the Homecoming dance at school. It was so much fun and so much more exciting than I thought it would be! Here’s my dress:

Spirit Week!

The last few weeks have been rather hectic for me because I have been planning for Spirit Week and my first ever Homecoming! The way that we do spirit week is that we have a common theme every year and each year (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) get to decorate one hallway according to the theme. This year, the theme was classic video games, where,

  • Freshmen: Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Sophomores: Pokémon Go
  • Juniors: Pac-Man
  • Seniors: Mario

Other than just decorating the hallways, (which, BTW, my freshman class of 2020 got 3rd place in!!) there are a few more challenges that needed to be done, daily costume challenge, video contest, class t-shirt design, and the Spirit Games (which would be held at the end of the week on Thursday-Friday).

For the daily costume contest, there was another theme to dress up for each day

  • Monday: Old people day

(Some people told me I looked like Queen Elizabeth!!!)

  • Tuesday: Disney Day

(I decided to be Flynn Rider from the movie Tangled)

  • Wednesday: Classic video games (per grade)

(Since Freshmen class had Sonic the Hedgehog, I decided to be Tails the fox)

  • Thursday: Class t-shirt

(Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of me wearing the shirt, but you can still see it anyway.)

  • Friday: America Day

(After a long week, I was exhausted!)
At the end of the week, they told us who had won the “Spirit Stick”, and to no one’ surprise, the Seniors won again. Better luck next year, 20/20 vision! Maybe class of 2021 will be the first freshman class to win the Spirit Stick!!!

Shoe service

Haha. So I went to put my shoes on this morning, and I discovered that Tucker, my little red chihuahua/min pin puppy, had gotten ahold of them and loosened the laces a bit. Now, if ya don’t know already, Converses are very tedious to tie/untie. That totally just spared me a few extra minutes this morning!😂❤️
